IMHO — 3 Million Jobs?! Are You STILL Buying That B&^%SH*T?

Every so often when traipsing around the Internet, you come across some overly ridiculous things. Well, today’s winner is the continued crap coming from various liberal and progressive websites that the Obama Stimulus Package either created or saved 3 million jobs.

(I have seen that number as high as 3.5 million, but I am really waiting for a liberal site to put out there that the stimulus package cured cancer, ended global warming, or stopped Nancy Pelosi from getting any more botox treatments – but I digress.)

The obvious question to ask is — CAN YOU PROVE IT?

Most of the people who believe this nonsense will send you to where you can find all sorts of glowing platitudes, reviews, and results provided by none other than – drum roll please – the Obama Administration.

According to an Atlanta Journal Constitution article, the Obama Administration changed the way they calculated the number of jobs “created or saved” by the stimulus.

Here’s why: The federal Office of Management and Budget previously told recipients of the stimulus dollars to count only jobs that were created and filled as a result of stimulus spending or existing jobs “that would not have been continued” if not for the spending.

So, in English, if stimulus money was spent to create or save a job — then they could count that in their total. Now, time for a change —

Now all jobs funded with stimulus dollars will be counted as created or saved, whether or not they were in jeopardy of being eliminated, according to new rules OMB released last month in a memo that drew little attention.

Huh? So, to count now — stimulus money has to be used in whole or part. That’s it?! Obvious impact — More jobs can be included in the count and up goes the total.

But wait for it —

Also, when stimulus money is used for pay raises, it will translate into a fraction of a job created or saved.

That’s right. Give four people a raise — you just created or saved a job. These people can’t be serious!! So, all of the executives the OWS protestors want arrested should be praised for saving so many jobs!! So, even more padding of the numbers of jobs created or saved by the stimulus.

I found the actual memo from Peter Orzag — Director of OMB — providing “guidance” on how to perform these counts. And I am quoting here:

Part 2…Reporting on Jobs Creation Estimates by Recipients…reflects important simplifications to the manner in which job estimates are calculated and reported…

So, no more running total — just a quarterly total. What about the jobs that are eliminated in one quarter and then re-created in the next? What does that equate to? One person getting to keep the same job — but no economic growth. But the numbers will look better though!

In addition, recipients will no longer be required to make a subjective judgment…(but) easily and objectively report on jobs funded with Recovery Act dollars.

So, this confirms what was stated in the AJC article and also by the liberal website, Mother

Then the calculation of jobs created or saved is based on hours worked — not the permanence of the job.

…to perform the calculation, a recipient will need the total number of hours worked by employees in the most recent quarter…The recipient will also need the number of hours in a full-time schedule for the quarter. (This is also spelled out on the website.)

So, if a person works more than a 40 hour work week; then that one job can count as more than one job. Don’t you love that new fangled math? Better yet, don’t you love how that would increase the total number of jobs that have been created or saved by the stimulus?

So, please prove to me the number of jobs that have been created or saved — since even the Obama Administration CAN’T DO IT!

The Militant Tactics of the Occupy Wall Street Movement

This “movement’ is supposed to be an organic representation of the people who have had enough – pretty much The Tea Party 2.0 – but only better. Suffice it to say – It is not. The tactics they use tells you a lot about them. Their actions speak volumes. Their high-powered and celebrity endorsements paint a disturbing picture.

The official website of the Occupy Wall Street movement refers to the NYC General Assembly. Personally, I find it interesting that the leaders of this movement would refer to themselves using terms that generally refer to a law-making body. Then, right there on the front page, they implore you to read their Declaration of the Occupation of New York City.

So, what is one to gather from this?

Are they considering themselves a separate nation? Do they want to overthrow the government?

The short answer is yes. In an interview with the “spokesman” for the Occupy DC group, he is looking forward to seceding from the country. That’s right I said “secede.” (Anyone remember how much liberals mocked Perry for saying the same thing about Texas – my, my, my…the times have changed.)

Do they want to create such a social upheaval as to create a new America according to their beliefs?

Again, the short answer is yes. There have been repeated incidents of protestors resorting to violence to get what they want. Here is a small sampling:

There have been numerous instances of people calling for violence to achieve their goals. Here are just a few:

As one Occupy Wall Street organizer said – “It’s revolution, not reform.

UPDATE: And so it begins and it looks like Oakland is going to lead the way…

The confrontation began after protesters started a large bonfire in the middle of a downtown street. Dozens of police in riot gear moved in on hundreds of protesters as the flames leapt more than 15 feet in the air from several large metal and plastic trash bins that had been pushed together.

Also, we have another group of protestors — who if they continue — will put even more people out of work at one of the nation’s busiest shipping ports.

The crowd disrupted port operations by overwhelming the area with people and blocking exits with chain-link fencing and illegally parked vehicles. The demonstrators also erected fences to block main streets to the port. No trucks were allowed into or out of the area.

Port spokesman Isaac Kos-Read said evening operations had been “effectively shut down.”

So, as part of their general strike, they are endangering the welfare, safety, and economic stability of the people they claim to be helping.

But once again, they aren’t interested in “fixing problems.” — “Viva La Revolucion!!”

The Occupy Movement — Looking out for the “little guy?”

If you listen to the “protestors” in the Occupy movement, they are the only ones who are looking out for the “little guy.” It is they who want to make certain that everyone is equal…

Are you sure?

From the Daily Caller

For each of the 984 Occupy Wall Street protestors arrested in New York City between September 18 and October 15, police collected and filed an information sheet recording the arestee’s name, age, sex, criminal charge, home address and — in most cases — race.

So, the fascinating part is that these people looking out for the “little guy” live in houses that have an average median value of $305,000 — which is $120,000 over the national average.

Wait, it gets better —

…at least 95 of the protestors’ residences are worth approximately $500,000 or more…

So, how can they understand what the pain of the little guy is when they can go out and play a round of golf between nights in Zuccotti Park? (What’s the ol’ saying — a picture is worth a thousand words…)

Folks at OWS will claim that they have had everything taken from them by greedy corporate interests — in particular jobs that have been outsourced.

The vast majority of demonstrators are actually employed…

If they have jobs, then how could they understand the pain of the unemployed? Or are they being “greedy” and wanting the businesses to pay them more?

I wonder if we can find how further out of touch the OWS folks can be with Americans — not too mention reality…

Hold up this just in — instead of looking out for the little guy making certain they have their piece of the pie —

Protestors force cafe layoffs as biz drops

So, thanks to the OWS protestors, 21 people are now unemployed because people no longer spend money at a once thriving cafe.

So, we have rich kids living in nice houses with jobs causing working Americans to lose their jobs — I think this quote from one of the cafe workers who lost her job pretty much sums it up:

“If they would just go get a real job, helping real people, that would help a lot more than just taking up space and shouting at people and putting others they claim to care for out of work,” she declared.

That’s your 99%’ers folks — looking out for you.

IMHO — America is not the 99%ers

The individuals who I see in McPherson Square in Washington, DC twice a day claim to be representative of 99% of America. These are the same people who have done this sort of thing in cities all across America (and around the world).

And amazingly, they are saying this with a straight face.

From the Occupy San Francisco protest —

Yep — this is how 99% of America represent themselves in public. Strutting around in public in their birthday suit. Welcome to America — now get rid of those pesky clothes.

The 99% movement tolerates all —

Who knew Jews weren’t people?

“I think that the Zionist Jews, who are running these big banks and our Federal Reserve, which is not run by the federal government . . . they need to be run out of this country.

That’s right — 99% of Americans hate the Jews and want them to be run out of the country.

The 99% movement is supposed to be better than the Tea Partiers

So, not only do 99% of all Americans crap in public — they intentionally crap on police cars.

So, let me see — 99% of all Americans get their “freak” on in public?!

Unlike the Tea Party, the 99% movement are peaceful, non-violent individuals who just want to make a positive change in this country —

So, 99% of Americans go out and participate in general violence — just for kicks, right?

And I would be amiss if I didn’t the multiple rapes or sexual assaults that have occurred at the protests —

So, and this is just for starters, according to the protestors — 99% of Americans:

  • Walk around in their birthday suits
  • Hate Jews
  • Have sex in public
  • Participate in violence
  • Are either rapists or support rapes (which would include women by the way)

So, are you in the 99% or are you in the 1%?
